Thank you ASAP! for writing this guest blog post & for all that you do!

ASAP! is a social profit organization based out of Washington, CT, recognized as the place for high quality and innovative learning experiences. We believe that when we honor children’s imaginations, invite them to create, encourage them to take risks, and trust their resourcefulness, they will become the empowered, resilient, and compassionate adults the world really needs.

Our theme this year is Connection. Although we must be physically distant we feel very connected through our work, which gives us a true sense of hope and joy.

As we continue our passionate journey of fostering creative hands-on learning through in-person and virtual programs, we receive frequent requests for our programs to be customized for Covid-19. ASAP! embraces each challenge as it comes, we never turn a child away, and we are a resource for schools and communities.

Over the Summer and in November, 126 children ages 4-17 from Northwest CT created three outdoor Murals; One titled Together We Connect Gratitude Mural in Waterbury and two more murals titled Together We Dream located in Torrington and Washington.

This December you will notice our Celebration of Young Photographers works at New Morning. We celebrate 60 top selected students from across the state in a Livestream event featuring these amazing artists on Dec. 6 at 4:00 pm on Youtube.

More than ever, children need to connect and be a part of something meaningful and bigger than themselves. They need a place where they feel safe, where they can explore, discover, and express themselves. That is exactly what ASAP! provides. Serving nearly 10,000 students throughout CT each year, ASAP! promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion in all its programs. Together we can continue making the world a better place for our children and each other.

Thank you to all of our supporters at New Morning Market, enabling us to be nimble and shift to accommodate the times. We are strong advocates of the idea that, no ONE of us is as brilliant as ALL of us together.
