This spring, New Morning owner John Pittari was walking through the Woodbury Earth Day celebration, taking in the sights, meeting local vendors, and connecting with members of our community. It's something he's always enjoyed – discovering the people behind the products and learning the stories that make our region such a special place to live.
One booth caught his attention. The inviting fragrances drew him in, followed by a conversation with Oddette Staple-Brown, founder of Oh D'Luxe Candle Company. A local small-batch candle maker, Oddette’s passion for her craft and her community was clear from the start. By the end of that conversation, John had discovered more than a product he admired, he had met a local maker whose energy and entrepreneurial spirit made a natural fit with New Morning.

Founded by candle enthusiast and entrepreneur Oddette Staple-Brown, Oh D'Luxe Candle Company began during the uncertainty of the pandemic as a creative outlet and quickly evolved into a thriving small business. What started as a hobby became something much bigger after family and friends encouraged her to share her creations with the world. Since launching in 2020, Oddette has built a brand centered around craftsmanship, storytelling, and intentional scent experiences.

Each candle is handcrafted in small batches using 100% soy wax and carefully selected ingredients.
